Coffeehouse: Midtown Dickens CD Release Party

Local punk-folk duo Midtown Dickens celebrated their sophomore album Lanterns, which will be released September 15. It was recorded last spring with acclaimed producer Scott Solter (The Mountain Goats, Pattern Movement, John Vanderslice).
The Coffeehouse was packed by 9 PM and stayed packed until the very end of Midtown Dickens’ performance. The audience was treated to special performances by Carrboro’s Mount Moriah and Charlotte’s Des Ark opened. Midtown Dickens also invited friends up on stage to perform songs off Lanterns. The songs featured banjo, guitar, tamborine, xylophone, drums, bass, steel guitar, bass, trumpet, trombones, and tuba, to name a few.
